About the Company

In 1998, Sandy Watson and Jaspreet Dhillon, independent of each other, moved from their prospective hometowns to Los Angeles, California to pursue careers in the entertainment industry.

Four years later, after many job changes, and the occasional acting gig, Sandy found herself working in the office of a clothing store and Jaspreet was transitioning from corporate anonymity to free-lance production.

In early 2002, Sandy approached Jaspreet with a business proposition—why not join forces to forge their own niche in the entertainment industry. Capitalizing on Sandy’s extensive children’s theater background and Jaspreet’s industry connections, they partnered to produce a brand new children’s video/DVD series, I Wrote That!

With very little capital, they assembled a top-notch creative team, including composer and musical director Christy Crowl, and award winning British director, Clive Fleury.

Through a network of teachers and supplemental educators, they gathered a library of pictures, stories and poems from students around the country. Together with an experienced core of improvisational actors, they transformed the fruits of the children’s imaginations into the skits and songs that are the cornerstone of the I Wrote That! series.

I Wrote That! is ‘edutainment.’ It is first and foremost a wholesome, quick-witted, and above all FUN, form of entertainment for kids of all ages. But I Wrote That! also pairs well with the developing imaginations of young people just as they learn to express themselves with pen and paper.

The I Wrote That! series strives to foster creativity and literacy in all children. We want kids to unlock their imaginations, to color outside the lines, and to pick up a pencil instead of a Game Boy.
