"Hi. My name is Tori and I live in Orlando, Florida. I'm ten
years old. I live with my Mom and my 7-year-old sister, Melissa.
We share our house with 2 dogs and many fish. I'm very smart
and athletic. I really like to play baseball and basketball.
I have red hair. I always wear blue jeans and a black T-shirt.
My favorite hobby is collecting baseball cards.
The funniest thing I ever did was throwing up on a
merry-go-round in Disney
World. My family and I had gone there for a vacation when I
was 8 years old. I had a lot to eat that day. I started not
to feel very good, but wanted to go on another ride. I got
on the horse and the ride started. About 30 seconds later,
out it came. The spinning of the merry-go-round made the
vomit go everywhere.
The biggest problem I ever faced was saving a rookie Babe
Ruth card from a burglar, and since you probably want to
know what happened, I will tell you.
It all started one day when I went to Disney World for a
baseball card convention. When I got there everybody was
going ballistic. I asked a man what was happening. He said,
"Somebody stole the rookie Babe Ruth card!"
I said, "I'll go get it from the evil robber." So I went
off to find the robber who took it. The first place I went
to was Epcot Center. First I went to a guy and asked him if
he had seen a rookie Babe Ruth card lately, but he said no.
Then I went to fifty more people and they all said the same
thing, "No". Then I went to Disney Studios and Animal Kingdom
and the same thing happened.
I was about to give up, but then I remembered I needed to
find it. So I went to the Magic Kingdom and I asked forty-nine
people and they also all said no. I knew I had to ask at least
one other guy. So I asked a guy in a black suit. He said, "Ya,
I have one and just got it today. Why do you ask?" I said,
"Because you stole from the baseball card convention and I'm
going to return it." So I grabbed it out of his hands and I
ran back to the baseball card convention. When I got there
everybody was thankful the card was safe.
I went home happy and when I was sleeping I had a dream of
Babe Ruth thanking me. So that is the story of how I saved
the rookie Babe Ruth card.
